Carrie DeCoro is a U.S. and International Patent Paralegal and Office Manager at the Firm. She performs a variety of tasks including domestic and international patent prosecution, client support, and office management and administration.¬†Ms. DeCoro has more than 9 years of patent prosecution experience, and more than 11 years of civil litigation experience relating to various areas including construction defect, real estate¬†acquisitions and insurance defense. She is experienced in litigation support and docketing, discovery requests and responses, and filing of all USPTO and court papers, as well as corporate filings.
Ms. DeCoro has an Associate of Legal Science (Paralegal Studies), and is a certified paralegal.
Joel Leber is an Intellectual Property Docketing Specialist with Gazdzinski & Associates. Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Leber was employed by Harness, Dickey & Pierce, PLC for over two years as a Docketing Specialist, where he was primarily responsible for maintaining docket entries for all U.S. and foreign patent prosecution. He also worked as a File Room Clerk and Receptionist for Antonelli, Terry, Stout & Kraus, LLP, where he was responsible for managing an RFID based file room.
Mr. Leber has a Bachelor of Science in Electronic Media and Film from Towson University.
Mrs.¬†Manzano is a Patent and Trademark and Litigation Paralegal with Gazdzinski & Associates. Prior to joining the Firm, Mrs.¬†Manzano was employed by Fish & Richardson P.C. of San Diego in their Litigation Department as a Litigation Paralegal, and prior to that worked in Office Records. She has trial experience as both a paralegal and secretary in districts across the U.S. ¬†Mrs.¬†Manzano is a certified Paralegal; she received her Paralegal certificate in Litigation from the University of San Diego (USD) in 2004.
She also has a BFA in Interior Design from the Design Institute of San Diego, CA.
Ms. McGaw is a litigation paralegal with Gazdzinski & Associates and has over 15 years' experience in the legal field, including 10 years in complex civil litigation, including intellectual property litigation. Prior to joining the firm, she worked as a litigation paralegal with DLA Piper LLC (US) where she worked alongside attorneys during all phases of litigation, including discovery, trial, and post-trial proceedings.
Ms. McGaw received her B.A. from SDSU and J.D. from the USD School of Law.
Catherine Miller is a Trademark and Patent Paralegal with Gazdzinski & Associates. She has over 15 years' experience in the Intellectual Property field including 9 years in the trademark department at Fish & Richardson and a year in the patent prosecution department at QUALCOMM.¬† She has extensive experience in U.S. and foreign trademark filing including Madrid Protocol applications, and TTAB opposition proceedings.¬†
Ms. Miller received her paralegal certification from the University of San Diego.
Mr. Moreno is a Receptionist/Administrative Assistant with Gazdzinski & Associates. Prior to joining the firm, he was employed by Knobbe Martens LLP as a Mailroom/Copy Room Clerk. In addition, Mr. Moreno worked at Rosenstein, Wilson & Dean PLC as an office assistant and for the San Diego Alternate Public Defenders Office as a receptionist/file clerk. Mr. Moreno has extensive knowledge in United States Postal Shipping rules, regulations and procedures. He brings to the firm more than 10 years of knowledge and expertise in the legal field.
Mr. Moreno also served in the United States Navy as a Hospital Corpsman stationed at the Balboa Naval Hospital.
Kristina Shultz is a Billing Specialist with Gazdzinski & Associates. Prior to joining the Firm, she was employed by Solomon, Grindle, Silverman and Wintringer, APC as a Bankruptcy Paralegal specializing in creditor representation in all bankruptcy proceedings. She also worked as an administrative and legal assistant at a boutique real estate law firm where she performed various office and legal duties relating to real estate and business transactions as well as legal billing.
Ms. Shultz has an Associate of Science in Paralegal Studies, and is a certified paralegal. She is also fluent in Russian.
Ms. Wilson is an International Patent Specialist with Gazdzinski & Associates. Prior to joining the Firm, she was employed by McDermott, Will & Emery LLP of San Diego as a Foreign Patent Specialist, where she was primarily responsible for foreign patent prosecution. In addition, she also worked at Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker, LLP of San Diego as a Patent and Trademark Prosecution Assistant for¬†five years, where she was primarily responsible for assisting the Prosecution Department’s US and foreign Patent and Trademark portfolios as well as electronic filings with the USPTO.
Ms. Wilson has a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology from Auburn University.
